Malaysia's First Ever Corporate
"Oscar" Awards
|
After
months of anticipation, the Technology Business Review Awards
finally came to a conclusion on Friday, 15 September, the
Grand Ballroom at the Palace of the Golden Horses. The magnificent
ballroom played host to the grandest business awards ceremony
ever to grace Malaysia. With over 30 recipients from 14
different sectors, the Technology Business Review Awards
Night celebrated excellence amongst the cream of Malaysian
business.
Over 900 guests turned up for the Awards - from high level
executives of recipient companies and influential members
of society to Ambassadors and High Commissioners. The night
was also graced by Tuan Alihan A. Hamid, the Deputy Secretary-General
of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations who
was representing the Minister, Y.B Dato' Seri Dr. Jamaludin
Jarjis. Two Lifetime Achievement Awards were also presented
to Y.Bhg Tan Sri Dato' Professor Dr. Lim Kok Wing and Y.Bhg
Tan Sri Dato' Sri Dr. Teh Hong Piow for a "Lifetime Of Humanitarian
Efforts, Inspiring Creativity And Innovations" and for a
"Lifetime of Corporate Excellence, Dedication and Financial
Industry" respectively. A special memorial award was also
given to the late Y.Bhg Tan Sri Dr. Balachandra Chakkingal
Sekhar.
